Dan is a highly experienced and versatile DoP shooting commercials, promos, branded content, fashion, documentaries and narrative. Recent work includes a trilogy of music videos for ex One-Directioner Louis Tomlinson; the award-winning 2019 feature film 'As it Was' with Liam Gallagher; a major music series for Universal showing on Netflix USA, and Advertising work for Cadbury's, BBC, Canon, Adidas, Manchester United and Amazon Alexa.

Trained the old-school way by moving through the Camera department, Dan learnt from some of the best around whilst going from documentary camera assistant to clapper loader, focus puller and operator before settling exclusively as a DoP around 2007. He has worked on many award winning projects throughout that time.

Dan also has a substantial catalogue of equipment he has built up over the years. Current camera packages include the Arri Alexa Mini LF, Aaton Xtera Super 16 Film and the Sony FX3.

'I am hugely grateful to have remained part of the UK filming community for over 20 years now. In that time I have enjoyed the constant learning curve of evolving techniques and technology in lighting and image capture. But it still comes back to the simplicity of telling a story and approaching each shoot with a fresh perspective - whether it's shooting with available light and a tiny crew or bringing out all the toys and talent, these are the challenges I love.'
